NEWPORT NEWS, VA – Langley Federal Credit Union has added a 3-tiered dividend rate structure to their existing Langley Saves program. This new structure was designed primarily to help young people and those of modest means save money while earning excellent dividends. The new structure provides a greater amount of dividends to all Langley Saves account holders with members earning more money on lower balances. In fact, members earn the highest annual yield on the first $500 in the account.
Plus, now all funds on deposit earn dividends and the recurring deposit has been waived for those ages 18 and younger. So, children in particular will now be able to earn dividends with as little as $5 in their account.
Langley Saves is part of the nationwide “America Saves” campaign designed to encourage individuals and families to save and build wealth. Langley is the first credit union in the country to introduce the ‘Saves’ program to its membership.
Langley Federal Credit Union is a $1.2 Billion financial institution and has been in business for 72 years. The credit union serves over 160,000 members and ranks in the 100 top credit unions in the nation.
