If you are traveling to the countries listed under Condition 1 or 2, and expect to use your LFCU Credit/Debit/ATM card, please call 757-825-7101 or 1-800-826-7490, extension 7101.

We will temporarily recode your account, allowing you usage in those countries during those limited days of travel.

Planning to travel abroad?

Members traveling abroad need to be aware of how excessive fraudulent activity in foreign countries can affect their ability to perform electronic transactions. The following conditions are currently in effect:

Condition 1:
Transactions at ATMs not to exceed $205 per day will be approved, but all LFCU Credit/Debit/ATM card POS transactions will not be approved when they originate in the following countries:

  • Israel
  • Japan
  • South Korea
  • Malaysia

Condition 2:
ATM/POS (PIN based) transactions on ATM/Debit cards will not be approved in the countries below:

  • Bulgaria
  • Romania

Condition 3:
All Credit card, Debit card, and ATM card transactions will not be approved in the following countries until further notice:

  • Myanmar (Burma)
  • Cuba
  • Iran
