Touch ID Enrollment

What is Touch ID?
Touch ID is a fingerprint recognition feature that allows you to use biometrics (fingerprint) to access your account as opposed to entering a user ID and password.  Touch ID is available on the Langley App for Apple users with iPhone 5 or newer with iOS 8.0 or higher. The Langley App uses the Touch ID settings of the iPhone. In the Langley App, you will see Touch ID referred to as "Fingerprint Enrollment and Fingerprint Device Management" in your User Settings.

How to enroll in Touch ID?
You will be required to register your iPhone and enroll in Fingerprint Authentication. Here are the steps to register and enroll.

  1. Login to the Langley App
  2. Touch the Menu button
  3. Touch Settings
  4. Touch User Settings
  5. Touch Fingerprint Enrollment

What if the Touch ID prompt does not appear?
There are several reasons the Touch ID prompt may not appear.

  1. Touch ID is not enabled on your iPhone.  To enable Touch ID, tap the Settings icon and then navigate to Touch ID & Passcode.  Follow the prompts to enable Touch ID.
  2. Fingerprint Enrollment has not been successfully completed.
  3. You accidentally touched the word cancel when you were prompted for your fingerprint.  If this occurs, touch the User ID field and then touch Touch ID.  Then you will be prompted for your fingerprint.
