This commitment shows up every day through various community impact initiatives and the grantmaking efforts of the Langley For Families Foundation, serving the nonprofit organizations that have trusted us for decades.

Langley For Families Foundation

Since its founding, the Langley For Families Foundation has become a consistent source of support for nonprofits across Hampton Roads. Our focus areas include access to education, healthcare, and housing and human services, areas that directly shape quality of life and long-term stability. 

Langley’s Director of Foundation and Events, Liz Wolfson, reflects: 

“We value partners who listen to the people they serve, understand the greatest needs in our community, and offer programs that can demonstrate both efficiency and impact. We’re drawn to organizations that think creatively, adapt to changing needs, and plan for long-term impact.” 

Community Impact at a Glance

Here are some of the ways we’re proud to have served our communities: 

1. $175,000 in scholarships to be distributed in 2025 to increase access to higher education for students and support local teachers. 
2. $10,140 given to sponsor 175 graduating high school seniors who could not afford a cap and gown in 2025 to ensure they could participate in commencement. 
3. Provided 50 teachers with a $500 mini grant to support new or existing classroom projects in 2025. 
4. 4,221 pounds of food was donated to local foodbanks during Langley’s 2025 Summer Food Drive to support families experiencing food insecurity. 
5. A total of $13.1 million donated to nonprofits between Langley and the Langley For Families Foundation since the launch of the foundation in 2014. 
6. Annual events like Zoopalooza and our Charity Golf Classic bring our members, partners, and community together to celebrate, connect, and support local nonprofits.

Each year, Langley’s Community Impact Report offers a closer view of how these initiatives support our community. More than just numbers, it highlights lives we’ve touched—students gaining confidence, families finding stability, and organizations expanding their reach. Our 2025 Community Impact Report will be released in early 2026, offering another meaningful look at the positive change our community partnerships have made possible.
